Stop Stealing Dreams: voor de leraar en toekomst van het onderwijs

Stop Stealing Dreams is het manifest van Seth Godin. Dedicated to every teacher who cares enough to change the system, and to every student brave enough to stand up and speak up.  Godin beschrijft in 30.000 woorden wat er nodig is voor de toekomst van het onderwijs.

Godin (1960) is auteur van de internationale bestsellers Purple Cow, De Dip, Permission Marketing en andere titels. Hij was de oprichter en directeur van Yoyodyne, een vooruitstrevend interactie directmarketingbedrijf, dat in 1998 werd overgenomen door Yahoo. Zijn blog, www.sethgodin.com, is een van de populairste businessblogs ter wereld. Business Week noemde Seth Godin 'the ultimate entrepreneur for the information age'.

De introtekst:

The economy has changed, probably forever. School hasn't. 

School was invented to create a constant stream of compliant factory workers to the growing businesses of the 1900's. It continues to do an excellent job at achieving this goal, but it's not a goal we need to achieve any longer. 

In this 30,000 word manifesto, I imagine a different set of goals and start (I hope) a discussion about how we can reach them. One thing is certain: if we keep doing what we've been doing, we're going to keep getting what we've been getting.
