'The power of your own language'

Voor de eerste editie van het online tijdschrift van 'The Centre for Multigrade Education' in Zuid-Afrika schreef Hieke van Til op verzoek een artikel over Taalvorming en taalachterstanden in Nederland.  ''Our background in the arts allows us to approach language problems in schools from a different perspective. 'The Power of your own Language' beschrijft de unieke aanpak waarin 'taalontwikkeling' meer is dan de ontwikkeling van losse deeltjes.  We focus on the expertise of the child, the language he or she already uses and his or her strengths. We use this information to decide how we should go forward. Our experiences show that all the children can benefit from our approach, especially the children with language deficits.''
